Young Astronaut Day is a STEM outreach event for students in grades 1-8. Every year since 1992, the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics Northern Ohio Section hosts students from grades 1st-8th to compete in hands-on activities related to engineering problem solving.

The Young Aerospace Visionaries Contest (YAVC) invites students to imagine the future of aviation and space exploration. Participants develop an original aerospace concept, create a visual representation of their idea, and explain how it works—mirroring the early stages of real aerospace design.
