Since 2017, the Northern Ohio Section of the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics has participated in the local CANstruction competition. The support of individual and business donors are the key to making our structure come to life! Pictured: 2019's entry, "Donkey Kong."
It is a competition between teams of architects, engineers, and other professionals to produce the most creative sculptures…out of cans of food! Awards are given in various categories (“Best use of labels”, “Best meal”, etc.). After the competition, all the canned food is donated to the Cleveland and Akron food banks during their Harvest for Hunger campaign.
